Age of the Gods: Fate Sisters became available in 2016, and immediately became a smash success. As a follow up of Playtech’s popular series, it was guaranteed to draw attention. If not for the cool theme the developers selected, then for the progressive jackpots it offered! This slot takes inspiration from the ancient Greek myth about the three sisters who weave the threads of life. The three fates, or Moirai, had their allocated roles. Clotho spins the thread of life, and is responsible for the past. Lachesis measures the length of the thread, and is responsible for the present. Of course, a game needs more than a cool theme to appeal to players. You also need a talented team of artists who can truly bring the idea to life! Playtech succeeds in this for the most part. The background image looks nice, with floating chunks of land and a beautiful starry sky. That said, it does somewhat suffer from its age. It has plentiful animations, though they suffer in quality. Though they weave the fate of the world, the sisters do not need any special tools. Instead, they work their magic on a five-reel board with twenty-five paylines. This slot allows you to turn individual winlines on or off, which is rare for modern games. You can go all the way down to one payline if you so choose! Not that you want to, as all wins pay left to right following a currently active winline. Only the highest value combination will be paid per each payline. Using the control panel, you are able to spin the reels, set up Autoplay, enable Turbo mode, and open the paytable. Despite having a fantastic theme, Playtech fail to use it to its entirety. Find Lachesis on reels one, Clotho on reel three and Atropos on reel five to activate the Sisters’ Gift bonus. A re-spin is played, during which the sisters remain locked in place. For the duration of the re-spin, the sisters pay like Scatters, and can create a two-of-a-kind win.

Alternatively, collect three Scatters anywhere on the playing field to win free spins. There are three bonuses that you can pick from, each one tied to one of the sisters. If the corresponding sister symbol appears on the third reel, it grants three more free spins.
